Primary responsibility will be for the Varsity team, however, the Head Coach also oversees the Junior Varsity coaching staff and the overall program. Presentation High School, an all girls? high school in San Jose, CA, seeks candidates for the position of Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach, for the season beginning February 12, 2020 and ending May 15, 2020. This position will be responsible to assist in running the Lacrosse Program at Presentation, which will be in the our third season of having lacrosse as a school sponsored sport.

The Head JV Girls Lacrosse coach will be responsible for planning, organizing and delivering an appropriate range of lacrosse activities and drills for both individuals and the team. Our season runs from February to May and we have activities Monday - Friday. The timing can be flexible but typically we practice from either 3:30pm - 5:30pm OR 5:30pm - 7:30pm.
Typical responsibilities of a lacrosse coach at Amador include: teaching relevant skills, tactics and specific lacrosse techniques, as well as assisting with sports promotion/development. You will also be responsible for creating practice plans, game day lineups, developing fitness routines as well as participating in a few team bonding activities throughout the season.
At Amador, we pride ourselves on creating a positive environment for our student athletes and we expect our coaches to lead by example. We expect you to be fun, competitive and caring while maintaining a professional attitude and relationship with the players.

The head coach is responsible for all facets of the lacrosse program. The primary emphasis for the position is development and retainment of student-athletes, and the administration of a competitive CCS-CIF lacrosse program. Additional duties related to the program include scheduling and coaching practice; preparing and monitoring annual sport and recruiting budgets; supervising assistant coach(es); and meeting CCS, CIF and PVUSD rules and responsibilities. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to the academic mission and purposes of Aptos High School. Additional duties and responsibilities will be included and may include administrative duties as assigned by the athletics director.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to the candidate who has playing and/or coaching experience in lacrosse and who can demonstrate a proven ability to coach and develop quality student-athletes. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills and must be able to work effectively with staff, faculty, and other members of the Aptos community. The successful applicant will be able to successfully articulate the values of Educational Based Athletics and the role interscholastic athletics plays in the development of student-athletes.
